Some of what you will do:

The Senior Manager, Learning and Development has a strong execution mindset who will develop, implement and amplify innovative, creative and high-impact learning and development strategies. They are responsible for partnering with leaders across the organization to design, develop, deliver, maintain and evaluate performance solutions to enhance knowledge, skills and abilities of all associates in our stores, print production centres, contact centers, fulfillment centers and our home offices

Specifically, You Will:

  • Drive the analysis, design, development, implementation and sustainment of a comprehensive suite of performance improvement solutions to address the skills and knowledge gaps in a business, an audience, a function or an initiative.
  • Partner with HRBP teams to understand strengths and opportunities, and priorities of various teams and individuals to be able to identify strategies that support the L&D strategy.
  • Manage and direct multiple concurrent projects.
  • Promote the use of creative, effective and efficient instructional design processes by staying on top of learning and development industry trends; integrate new thinking and approaches into content. 
  • Speak comfortably, effectively and persuasively in front of groups and in a variety of setting to clearly and logically present ideas and influence others.

Some of what you need:

  • Bachelor of Education or post-secondary degree in Adult Education or Instructional Design or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Applied adult learning principles and methods for curriculum and training design, instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects for all levels of a retail organization. 
  • Strong relationship management, consulting and collaboration skills, including with partners who are based in other locations. 
  • Priority setting skills to manage multiple tasks and deliver results in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Motivated, results-driven individual who demonstrates proactive, creative thinking and acute analytical and sound reasoning skills.
  • 10+ years of progressive learning and development experience, including a minimum of 5 years management experience.
