Job Description:

The Senior Curriculum Manager is accountable for driving agreed program impact and effectiveness through the delivery of MGS Learning services that focus on efficiency and quality to ensure high impact value of Learning services and solutions across Mars.

To this end, the Senior Curriculum Manager partners with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to deliver the active programs in their portfolio including (but not limited to) – managing existing facilitators, contracting for filling cohorts and the collection and collation of feedback received against their portfolio. This role is expected to have in-depth understanding of the Leadership Curriculum

including content, audiences and objectives. Additionally, this role is expected to be a strong strategy partner in terms of leadership development and is expected to partner across Mars businesses to understand how they are driving leadership development.

This position must be based in Chicago, IL; Newark, NJ; Hackettstown, NJ; Slough, United Kingdom; or Paddington, United Kingdom.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent of education) preferably in HR or Business that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 5 or more years of experience in Leadership Development, HR shared services environment required
  • Ability to quickly establish and maintain rapport with a diverse range of stakeholders with strong customer orientation and strong collaboration skills
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
  • Good organization skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Capable of establishing priorities
  • Experience in diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Technology savvy with a keen interest in leveraging technology to drive standardization/add business value
  • Flexible in dealing with changing business requirements
  • Data savvy with the ability to collect and turn data into actionable insights
  • Strong communications skills – written and verbal
  • Executive presence
  • Experience in a shared services/operational environment a plus
  • Project Management experience/certification a plus
  • Ability to travel as required for appropriate key meetings and forums (10% of the time).

What will be your key responsibilities?

Full Portfolio Ownership

  • Accountable to drive full Portfolio Management inclusive of curriculum health and quality monitoring, budget management, demand planning, and continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with leaders across various Mars businesses to gain a comprehensive understanding of their unique leadership development needs and challenges
  • Lead regular curriculum reviews with learning leaders and business stakeholders focusing on opportunities for quality; decisions on continuous improvement and rationalization in alignment with key stakeholders
  • Work across all areas of MGS Learning (including Learning Experience, Operations, Vendors, etc.) related to portfolio performance and new solution development
  • Accountable for identified Priority Program management and all associated criteria in alignment with business owners
  • Responsible for Global Senior Leader Program Event Management inclusive of securing internal
  • Mars speakers, preparing internal speakers, scheduling and other general support – often done remotely
  • Ownership of Demand Planning for all Leadership curriculum which includes forecasting new solution requirements, and associated launch plans, contracting with stakeholders on ongoing offerings, statement of work renewals, etc.
  • Monitors program feedback from learners and program facilitators as input into continuous improvement as well as portfolio performance
  • Facilitate pool management for programs where applicable
  • Point of contact for all assigned curriculum in Workday
  • Attend steering committee meetings where relevant.
  • Understand the external marketplace in their space and apply learnings to Mars curriculum
  • Turn data into insights about opportunities to improve
  • Respond to queries within agreed SLAs

SME, Master Trainer and Facilitator Management

  • Activate ongoing program related resourcing for program delivery in partnership with business owners. This includes sufficient facilitator pools and/or briefing sponsors, senior leaders and others as required.
  • Coordinate the upskilling and community building for Master Trainers, Senior Leaders and internal facilitators in conjunction with business owners / subject matter experts.
  • Act as escalation point for master trainers and facilitators for addressing questions or ongoing support. ​
