About the role

We’re looking for a Learning and Development Coordinator to join our growing Claims team!

As a Learning and Development Coordinator, your work will have a big impact with our claims department. People will count on you to coordinate and support the delivery of training including prioritizing and managing requests, managing logistics and measuring results.

This position will be offered as a hybrid work model and will require the successful candidate to attend in office 3 days a week. This position is based in our Calgary and Edmonton office locations.

What you’ll do here:

  • Coordinate training attendance, schedule management and management of various reports
  • Help build, improve, and simplify monitoring and collaboration tools with various teams.
  • Assist with regular maintenance of adjuster skillset inventory.
  • Attend meetings, work collaboratively with key partners and other stakeholders as required. 
  • Support various stakeholders on the management of post training follow-ups.
  • Act as an advisory resource for Managers and the Management Team.
  • Support in the review of trainee quizzes & assignments. 
  • Assist in maintenance of instructional design 

What you bring to the table:

  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management or Education (asset) or any combination of equivalent education or experience
  • Experience working in the insurance industry (considered an asset)
  • Knowledge of e-learning development tools and LMS systems (considered an asset)
  • Experience coordinating corporate training projects and ability to prioritize tasks
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office suite (Excel and SharePoint experience considered an asset)
  • Excellent written communication, listening and organizational skills
  • Adaptable with a problem-solving, “can do” attitude
  • Critical thinking skills required to handle diverse learner inquiries
  • Positive and customer-oriented attitude
