​The Learning Specialist is responsible for supporting various learning and development functions as required by the business. The Learning Specialist will support design, development, delivery, content management and learning project work. This role may be required to manage project streams to ensure project deliverables.

How you will create impact:

  • Working with the Content Management Consultant on the design, development, implementation, and socialization of the content management strategy within claims 
  • Researching design initiatives to enhance the site with a focus on developing tools/access methods that enable end-users to quickly obtain required information.
  • Partnering with the team to develop topic-specific outcomes, determining instructional methods, curating specific learning experiences, and designing courses, events, programs and modules.
  • Utilizing industry software, learning technologies, and authoring tools to conduct testing, create training solutions and build materials including eLearning.
  • Delivering training using adult learning principles, evaluating effectiveness, modifying solutions based on feedback and providing follow-up support as required.
  • Coordinating learning events by assisting with scheduling and logistics, responding to inquiries, managing rosters and generating reports.

To join our team:

  • You have 3 years of experience in workplace learning and development or a related field.
  • You have a post-secondary diploma in a related discipline.
  • You have or are working towards the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation.
  • You have strong knowledge of adult learning and instructional design principles, learning development and delivery and the design life cycle.
  • You have working knowledge of learning mechanisms, systems, tools and software.
