Overview

Hexagon’s Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a talented and highly motivated Learning & Development Advisor with a passion for learning. Reporting to the Director of HR, you will play a key role in helping us strengthen the technical, leadership and business skills required for the growth of our business.

The Location: Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

As a Learning & Development Advisor, responsibilities include: 

  • Manage our employee and leadership development programs working with our external partners to deliver a first-class learning experience.
  • Adapt workshops and resources as required to meet the needs of our learners.
  • Facilitate internal workshops both virtually and in person.
  • Support ongoing business needs to identify learning solutions aligned with individual, team and organizational learning and development objectives.
  • Manage our training courses and calendar within our learning management system.
  • Provide first-level technical support on our learning management system.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure the deliverables meet our expectations.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of our learning & development programs and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Post secondary education in HR, adult education or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of progressive learning and development experience within a corporate setting.
  • Knowledge and experience with adult learning principles, interactive learning design and blended learning techniques.
  • Strong facilitation skills including virtual facilitation.
  • Experience working with a learning management system and familiarity with e-learning authoring tools.
  • Exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong editing and proofreading skills.

  • Experience with Saba Cloud LMS
  • Experience with Blanchard leadership training programs
  • Experience working in a high-tech and/or engineering organization.
