What to Expect
The Tesla Semi Service Training Team is looking for a motivated and energetic Instructional Designer who wants to put their skills to use in accelerating the world’s transition to renewable energy.
The Instructional Designer will be expected to provide subject matter expertise in developing effective course content throughout all areas of Semi Service to create innovative instructor led and online courses in an organized and effective manner. You will be expected to challenge and to be challenged, to create, and to innovate.
What You’ll Do
Partner directly with subject matter experts to design and develop engaging content for a variety of audiences and delivery modes (online, webinar, etc.) with clear strategies and tactics to achieve desired learning outcomes
Work with the Semi Service Training Team to support training and onboarding of internal and external partners
Recommend different applications or layouts that would improve user experience in the current classes and trainings
Maintain and revise existing learning products, keeping specific audience, learning modality, and other learning considerations in mind while always looking for the most efficient way to express the desired learning objectives
Serve as project manager on simultaneous training development initiatives with the ability to stay within timelines and budgets
Able to engage with Content Experts and stakeholders to create interactive, clear, and error-free content, including Standard Guides, Web-based training, and Presentations
Must be creative and act as a liaison between technical and innovative groups to solve gaps in training
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Technical field, experience designing and developing training curriculum, or equivalent experience
Existing eLearning portfolio or ability to create high-quality eLearning products with prior experience creating web-based training, technical writing, and standard guides
Experience with design tools used in a learning creation environment (MS PowerPoint, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, Adobe Captivate, Articulate Storyline)
Ability to clearly and effectively communicate in both written and oral formats
Open collaborative style with the ability to work both in a team environment and autonomously with minimal supervision or direction
Curiosity to understand the strategic priorities for Tesla how learning and development can best address skill and knowledge gaps in the workforce

Expected Compensation
$64,000 – $240,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
