Reporting to the Learning Manager, the Instructional Designer will be responsible for technical support to associates as well as instructional design support for the development of new learning opportunities, including multimedia and multimodal content, online courses and modules and webinars. This individual will also be responsible for the learning management systems and is expected to follow emerging and novel practices in training, education, and instructional design.

The Instructional Designer (Bilingual English/Spanish) will be part of a fast-paced workplace, requiring effective communication skills. The ideal candidate will take personal initiative to be highly organized and adept at implementing and following processes, adapting as project priorities shift.

Location: Remote

Salary Range: $70,000 – $80,000

The actual base salary offered to a candidate will be based on several variables including geographic location, work experience, education, and skills/ achievements, and may vary from the listed range.

Responsibilities/Duties:

80% Instructional Design

  • Develop, translate, and transform English-based learning material to professional and engaging Spanish-based learning content.
  • Develop asynchronous learning opportunities using a variety of tools, such as Articulate Storyline & Rise and AI emerging technologies, such as Synthesia.io.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and cross-functional teams to develop professional and highly impactful online training and education materials.
  • Apply adult learning best practices and instructional design principles when developing learning solutions.
  • Remain current on technology and innovations in online learning, initiatives, and trends to provide ideas and recommendations.
  • Be an active participant in receiving and giving feedback on team projects.

20% – Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to the field for Learning & Performance Management systems, including password reset and course access.
  • Provide technical support for webinars and bi-directional video events.
  • Provide great customer service, anticipating and exceeding the needs of our internal customers.
  • Maintain and update training platforms and learning management systems, as needed.
  • Serve as the vendor contact for the Learning Management System, troubleshooting system performance issues.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities:

  • Bi-lingual/Spanish development and editing skills.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and proven application of adult learning best practices and instructional design principles in multi-modal instruction such as eLearning, instructor-based training, and performance support resources (e.g., job aids).
  • Strong and professional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively to effectively management multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines while maintaining quality.
  • Collaborate with team members and subject matter experts.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Articulate Storyline and Articulate RISE.
  • Demonstrated expertise in communicating to various levels of leadership within the organization to engage SME’s, stakeholders, and leaders, drawing out learning requirements and performance support opportunities.

Education And Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Master’s preferred (preferably in education, instructional design, or instructional technology).
  • Bilingual – Spanish required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design applying online instructional design principles, practices, and techniques to online learning design and development.
