The Instructional Designer supports the company’s Mission and Vision by driving consistency through the development of Learning materials for online, classroom/virtual, and hybrid formats. Materials can include courses, curriculum, guides, training manuals, and facilitator guides using a variety of design tools. The Instructional Designer follows a system of assessing needs, designing a process, developing materials, and evaluating their effectiveness. They will collaborate with the TreviPay Learning and Development team to identify learning and development opportunities and work directly with the Learning and Development Manager and/or the Learning and Development Business Partner to prioritize work and production needs. The ideal candidate will also have exceptional interpersonal skills, great written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize. Moreover, the ability to work in a dynamic and ambiguous environment is imperative.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Gather evaluation data from L&D training and design effective surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and provide metrics and analysis to leadership and or stakeholders.
  • Provides analytical support for the design and development of training curriculum, learning strategies, educational policies, or courseware standards.
  • Provide strategic and day-to-day guidance for curriculum development (eLearning and instructor-led), facilitator development, organization, and knowledge management.
  • Utilize knowledge of industry best practices to improve upon existing training methods.
  • Advise on authoring tools and cost expectations.
  • Coordinate development efforts to obtain content and timely reviews from stakeholders and subject matter experts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 2-4 years of experience in Instructional Design and/or learning curriculum design.
  • At least 3-5 years of experience with learning content development tools, (Articulate 360; Storyline and Rise, Vyond or other animation tools, and Camtasia).
  • Proficiency in learning theories and instructional design models, and the ability to apply them in content design and development.
  • Proven record of lesson and curriculum planning skills that follow adult learning principles.
  • Basic LMS and eLearning software knowledge.
  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
