This role requires experience with creative storytelling, interviewing, and online learning pedagogy, focusing on being able to take relatively complex subjects and explain them in the context of an engaging story, rather than a lecture.

Your interests in teaching, technology, and psychology intersect in a way that’s always made it hard for you to pick a lane; that’s why you’d be a shoe-in for the Training Specialist role at Swoogo. You’ll work with the Manager of Product Enablement to identify the skills, knowledge, and aptitude gaps among our customers and employees to create learning experiences for all types of learners at every possible level.

About the Role

We are looking for a Sr. Training Specialist who can help us build and run our external customer training function at Swoogo. You’ll be an expert in and responsible for getting our customers up and running fast, as well as providing ongoing Swoogo knowledge through deep dive training sessions, webinars, etc. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants to help build a stellar training program from the ground up. You’ll play an integral role in not only developing Swoogo’s training curriculum but also in crafting and developing systems and processes that the program will run on. This position will report to the Manager of Product Enablement and is fully remote. 

Every day will look a little different, but in general, you will do things like:

  • Work closely with the Product Enablement Manager to develop course content, training materials, and evaluation criteria 
  • Implement and deliver a variety of virtual training sessions in group and individual settings 
  • Conduct gap analysis and provide guidance on training initiatives that closes the gaps.
  • Manage and maintain training schedule 
  • Follow up with customers after training and keep good customer notes
  • Partner with Sales and Support to ensure customers have everything they need to succeed with Swoogo
  • Look for ways to streamline and improve the training process
  • Research new and best-in-class Training methods and apply those to programs and measure their effectiveness
  • Share responsibilities, if needed, in the management of Help Center, Webinars, Certification, New Customer and New Employee Product Training

What You’ve Done Before

  • BA/BS in Education, Training, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Psychology or a similar field
  • 2+ Year(s) in a B2B SaaS organization
  • 5+ years experience in Training, Learning & Development, Customer Education, or a similar field
  • Strong knowledge of end-to-end learning process, ie. learning needs assessment, training design and implementation, and learning evaluation
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Proven experience in facilitating virtual training sessions
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to be flexible and pivot quickly if needed
  • Independent, strong decision making 
  • Quick learner, strong problem solver
  • Ability to work PST hours (8am – 5pm or 9am to 6pm)

It’d be Great if You’ve Done this

  • MA/MS in Education, Training, Instructional Design, Learning & Development, Psychology or a similar field
  • Experience developing and delivering training in a SaaS environment
  • Experience in the Event Industry
  • Basic Video and Training design creation
  • Proficiency in Google Suite and Salesforce
