Job Summary:

The Manager of Compliance Training and Communication will manage the Vail Resorts Compliance Training and Communications function, reporting to the Director of Corporate Compliance. Core responsibilities will include the development and management of the training strategy and 3-year training roadmap, design, development, and maintenance of training curriculums, creation of online and instructor-led Compliance training content, training reporting, and LMS administration. This role will also manages compliance communications and awareness campaigns to drive a culture of integrity and mitigate compliance risks.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Works with the Director of Corporate Compliance to develop the Compliance Training and Communications strategy and manages all facets of the enterprise compliance training program.
  • Drives ongoing planning, prioritization and management of Compliance Training and Communication initiatives and manages the 3-year training roadmap.
  • Certification (CCEP) preferred but not required.
  • Drives and develops effective compliance training strategies and content to support Corporate Compliance, HR Compliance and Environmental Compliance programs.
  • Conducts training and communications needs assessments and diagnostics to continuously evaluate Company risk areas and training and awareness priorities.
  • Provides instruction design principles and develops instructor-led and online training content to support enterprise compliance programs.
  • Establishes and maintains consistent standards, language and approach for content design, development and delivery.
  • Manage online training vendor relationships and works with SMEs to drive customizations of online training content.
  • Works with cross-functional teams to build and maintain effective and innovative Compliance & Ethics awareness campaigns to enhance a culture of integrity and mitigates compliance risks.
  • Keeps abreast of training and communications best practices to explore alternative methods and mediums for providing effective training to online and off-line users.
  • Drives behavioral change management to ensure training program adoption across the enterprise.
  • Develops strategies to drive effective compliance training reporting to Senior Leadership and stakeholders.
  • Implements strategy to evaluate the effectiveness of training and communications initiatives.
  • Conducts LMS administration for compliance training content including uploading content, building training curricula/courses/rules, system testing and reporting.
  • Partners with HR Technology Talent and Development to align strategies, work priorities and training administration processes and procedures.
  • Partners with Corporate Communications to drive compliance and ethics awareness messaging.

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field. Advanced degree a plus.
  • 5-8 years’ relevant work experience in compliance training or learning and development.
  • Strong project management and change management skills required.
  • Experience developing training content applying instructional design principles. Use of training authoring tools a plus.
  • Experience with Learning Management Systems and administrations. Experience with Saba Learning Management System (preferred)
  • Clear and concise oral and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex technical concepts in layman’s terms.
  • Possess strong content writing ability, creativity, attention to detail, and excellent proofing and editing skills.
  • Critical thinking skills and analytical approach to problem-solving and driving toward solutions.
  • Ability to gain new technical skills quickly.
  • Ability to collaborate with others at all levels of the organization as well as vendors
  • Customer service skills, respoand nsive attitude.
  • Advanced Excel (ability to manage data sets), PowerPoint Skills, Word, and Outlook required (SmartSheets and Visio a plus)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to follow through on issues in a timely, and if needed, persistent manner, troubleshooting and escalating issues as appropriate.

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $66,100 – $81,150 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
