Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, authentic, passionate person with expertise in instructional design and development. This is a new instructional design and development role within the Technology Enabled Learning team. Critical to this individual’s success is the ability to advance the product priorities of the Technology Enabled Learning team in partnership with the product management team. The individual should have a strong focus on justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI), and a desire to advance Erikson’s mission of serving young children and their families as essential for success in the role. Candidates should have a desire to further develop their JEDI competencies to better create solutions and collaborate with colleagues toward our unified efforts to strive toward justice. As a key member of this team, the individual should expect to develop their own equity goals and approach JEDI growth with curiosity, compassion, and humility.
The Manager of Instructional Design & Development will provide both strategic planning support and content delivery development in Technology Enabled Learning. The Manager of Instructional Design & Development will, in partnership with the Product Management team, develop a product roadmap of content and manage content creation against that roadmap. This lead role will work with faculty and staff experts in developing content and finding strategic uses in multiple areas within content and across the team (i.e. marketing assets). This position will train new team members, work study employees, and superusers and may supervise instructional designers as the team grows. The candidate is comfortable seeking information and solutions, working within tight timelines, managing multiple projects and project components, and has instructional design and development expertise.
