Instructional Designer:

Lennar is searching for a passionate, driven, detail-oriented instructional designer to produce high-quality outputs for our learning team. The instructional designer will be responsible for working with subject matter experts and leadership in the business to develop career enriching learning experiences, while following Lennar stylistic guidelines. This includes auditing existing learning materials, ensuring content alignment with business goals and initiatives, and creating novel work all focused on the end-user’s experience. Ultimately, this role will contribute to the success of learners by fostering their growth and development through well-designed and impactful instructional programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Uses leadership development skillset and technical expertise to meet unique, highly complex requirements related to course design and development.
  • Writing, reviewing, editing, and updating content, including supporting material/media, for in-person, virtual and hybrid learning experiences.
  • Design and develop all materials for leadership and professional development programs from needs assessment through program evaluation.
  • Plan and create assessments to measure program effectiveness.
  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and inspires action.
  • Fostering continuous learning and building strong relationships with leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Stays current and curious about emerging learning technologies and techniques.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to evaluate the effectiveness of existing training programs to recommend and build new learning solutions that will improve associate performance and meet or exceed business goals.
  • Conduct needs analyses to identify performance gaps and determine the most appropriate and cost effective training solution(s).
  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.
  • Validates training content with subject matter experts, stakeholders and L&D team members to ensure accuracy, efficacy, and scalability.
  • Enhances the learner experience by ensuring content is engaging and provides practical application scenarios.
  • Provides facilitation guidance to the instructor-led content created.
  • Monitors the latest trends, research and best practices in instructional design and adult learning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Education, Communications or related field and 5 year’s experience in adult learning, training content development, or related area OR 7 years experience in adult learning training content development or related area.
  • Demonstrated excellence in writing, proofreading, and editing.
  • Excellent research, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • The capacity to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work efficiently without compromising quality or accuracy.
