Job Purpose and Overview

The Channel Strategy and Operations team is looking for an Instructional Designer to continue shaping the future of how we train and provide training resources to our partners. In this role you will bring strategic thinking and tactical ability as a key contributor to partner learning experiences that are directly tied to Appfire’s future success and growth. You’ll focus on creating a training library designed for customers, that Appfire partners can implement across multiple functions and roles. What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders (Marketing, Product, Channel, etc.) on various organization-wide learning initiatives, while understanding and responding to their business needs
  • With an emphasis on visual design, develop learning assets in a variety of formats, including but not limited to Instructor Led Training (ILT/vILT), eLearning, job aids, and video
  • Develop training packages that can be delivered to partners so that they may implement these training with customers
  • Develop learning experiences using a systemic design process (ADDIE/SAM) that supports continued quality, speed of delivery, and learning reinforcement
  • Create, monitor, analyze and report on metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning experiences and take user feedback to improve them.
  • Partner across the Channel team to develop measurement strategies to understand the value the program is delivering for our partners, customers, and Appfire
  • Demonstrate working knowledge of Needs Assessment approaches and techniques to identify gaps and recommend strategies for improvement, setting clear performance-based objectives and measures
  • Deliver training workshops to partners and internal teams as needed

What We Would Like to See

  • 5+ years’ experience in building and growing learning and development programs, preferably focused on partners within the technology sector
  • Experience administering learning management systems (LMS) such as Docebo, Cornerstone, etc
  • Experience creating engaging eLearning modules in any of the following authoring tools; Storyline, Rise, Camtasia, Captivate
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Working knowledge of and competency in adult learning principles (e.g., Knowles’ Adult Learning Theory, Bloom’s Taxonomy)
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to implement structure (processes, frameworks) into daily work with little direction in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Demonstrable experience in instructional design for different modalities (vILT, eLearning, blended, etc.)
  • Able to work autonomously while completing multiple priorities
  • Proficient in simulation and scenario-based eLearning
  • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
  • Previous experience working within the tech industry is a plus
