Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and strategic Program Manager to lead our Learning and Development (L&D) initiatives. This role includes managing the development and implementation of learning strategies and programs, end-to-end management and operationalization, and ongoing evaluation of L&D programs and projects to enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. This role is crucial for driving the success of our learning solutions through thoughtful design and implementation, ensuring that the solutions align with customer needs and business objectives. Responsibilities

  • Manage and implement comprehensive L&D strategies and programs aligned with the organization’s objectives.
  • Drive projects from beginning to end and recommend changes that align with business needs.
  • Deliver workshops, and other training to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Evaluate individual and organizational development needs to tailor learning initiatives.
  • Implement various learning methods company-wide, such as online training.
  • Assess the success of learning and development initiatives and investigate solutions for scaling and automation for current and new learning programs.
  • Project manage and establish long-term goals for the program in line with the organization’s strategic objectives.
  • Manage and resolve dependencies and conflicts within the program.
  • Perform activities to design, implement, execute, and/or manage various training and development programs.
  • Identify talent needs and integrate solutions into other processes and HR plans.
  • Take a human-centered, iterative design approach to develop learning experiences that are discoverable, relevant, and engaging.
  • Leverage 1st party and 3rd party technologies to create coherent, end-to-end learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods including facilitated sessions, digital experiences, or other blended learning modalities, that support measurable shifts in knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and vendors, as needed, to develop learning experiences and content.
  • Project manage learning solutions and ensure a consistent implementation approach.
  • Measure and evaluate the success of pilot programs and apply the data to design future iterations.
  • Set objectives, defining project scopes, and aligning with organizational goals.
  • Lead teams, communicating effectively, and building consensus among stakeholders.
  • Plan, organize, and manage multiple projects.
  • Develop advanced skills in instructional design and familiarity with learning management systems.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in program management, learning and development or related field
    • OR Bachelor’s Degree in related field AND 3+ years experience in program management, learning and development, or related field
    • OR Master’s Degree in related field AND 1+ year(s) experience in program management, learning and development, or related field
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years experience in program management, learning and development or related field AND Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, Instructional Design or related field.
  • 2+ years experience as a Program Manager in Learning and Development.
  • Thorough understanding of project/program management techniques and methods.
  • PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning methodology and instructional design.
  • Ability to communicate recommendations for training approach and methodology.

Compensation Range

The base salary range for this job is USD $73,500.00 – USD $195,000.00 /Yr.

In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.

These pay ranges are intended to cover roles based across the United States. An individual’s base pay depends on various factors including geographical location and review of experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant. At GitHub certain roles are eligible for benefits and additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These rewards are allocated based on individual impact in role. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
