Essential duties include the following:

  • Develops assessments to support and analyze learning effectiveness.
  • Designs training and job aids for instructor-led and online delivery.
  • Develops learning objectives to include audience, behavior, conditions, and standards.
  • Designs and develops engaging and effective e-learning products.
  • Collaborates with Training and Performance consultants to ensure materials are current, viable, and reflective of market needs.
  • Maintains consistency of content across various training materials.
  • Provides top-tier quality e-learning modules for all clients, with a focus on Tier 1 clients.
  • Reduces workload for Performance Consultants by creating templates, activities, handouts, and workbooks for in-person and virtual instruction.
  • Increases revenue by providing additional sales and closing trainings for clients more frequently.
  •  Provides a foothold for clients resistant to in-person training or who use e-learning exclusively. Creates certification programs for products (e.g., GAP 101, GAP 201, GAP Certification).
  • Enhances the current team and elevate SWBC offerings to the next level of service.
  • Develops e-learnings and trainings requiring additional approval from the insurance board before release to clients, specifically filling the space for SLIC requirements.
  • Stays abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in e-learning and instructional design. Drafts and creates instructional materials, including multimedia elements, interactive modules, and assessments.
  • Conducts needs assessments and analyze training requirements.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary improvements.
  • Ensures all instructional content aligns with the organization’s goals and standards.

Serious candidates will possess the minimum qualifications:

  • Minimum of one to two (1–2) years of college in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Management, Instructional Design, Education, or related field.
  • Minimum of one to two (1-2) years in general office, high-level administrative support, cataloging/maintaining training materials or related experience.
  • Experience in instructional design and e-learning development.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
  • Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Articulate, Captivate, and Adobe Acrobat preferred.
  •  Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other educational technologies.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (both written and oral) skills.
  • Type 60 wpm accurately.
  • Ability to operate office equipment including a copy machine, fax, computer, and all appropriate printers.
  • An understanding of acquiring and processing purchase orders preferred.
  • Self-motivate and have a self-starter.
  • Stoop, kneel, and stands for long periods of time during classroom set-up, clean-up, or other related duties.
  • Sits for long periods of time while editing, designing, or administering training materials, or other related duties.
  • Lift 10-20 lbs. of training material, supplies, or other documents.
