Compensation:  $99,000 – $125,000 annually 

This range reflects Carestream’s good faith estimate to pay fairly as starting wage. Offers will be tailored within the range based on the selected candidate’s experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process, as well as geographic market differentials for the position.

Position Summary:

The Manager, Training and Support will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of equipment training programs globally. This role involves identifying training needs, designing and delivering programs, and evaluating their effectiveness to ensure they align with our company’s goals and objectives. They will also lead the identification and management of all service training content not limited to manuals, training guides and supporting materials.  The ideal candidate will have a strong background in instructional design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for employee development.

Position Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Assess training needs through surveys, interviews, and VOC.
  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive training programs that enhance employee and partner skills and knowledge for global service teams
  • Manage creation and updates of engaging and effective training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and presentations.
  • Drive consistency and harmonization of training delivery globally

Training Delivery:

  • Supervise in-person and virtual training sessions.
  • Facilitate workshops, seminars, and other educational activities.
  • Coordinate with external training providers as necessary.

Evaluation and Improvement:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Collect and analyze feedback from trainees to identify areas for improvement.
  • Make recommendations for continuous improvement of training initiatives.

Leadership and Collaboration:

  • Lead a team of training specialists and coordinators.
  • Collaborate with regional leaders to ensure training programs meet organizational needs.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in training and development.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Track and report on training expenses.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure training programs comply with all Carestream requirements and SOPs.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities and outcomes.

Required Skills & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years experience in a Service or Training role.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in e-learning platforms and tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willing to travel 25-50% including some international travel (if located in Rochester, NY, travel will be significantly less.) 

Desired Skills:

Certification in Training and Development (e.g., CPTD, ATD) is a plus.
