We’re looking for a motivated Manager of Instructional Design and Technology responsible for managing the design and administration functions of our Company’s sales education programs. This individual will use best-in-class instructional design principles and multi-media to create and deploy engaging educational roadmaps for sales and corporate team multi-media techniques.  

Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL. This role operates on a hybrid work model; employees spend two days working in the office and three days working remotely. We offer 401k plus vision, dental and medical benefits, as well as a paid holiday and PTO package. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with stakeholders and subject matter experts to design and create engaging educational content deployed through a blend of virtual and in-person delivery channels.
  • Develops strategies to effectively communicate, train, build support for, and ensure the continued adoption of educational content.
  • Manages and optimizes the instructional design workflow within a team of direct reports/instructional designers and external third-party design resources. Ensures virtual content is organized and deployed through LMS administrator(s).
  • Accountable for demonstrating positive business impacts through KPIs aligned with sales strategies and objectives.
  • Manages projects within budget constraints for resources.  
  • Continually assesses and manages the packaging and delivery of Lawson’s sales education content for optimal learning impact as priorities and strategies change and/or new content is developed.
  • Assists with other duties and projects as directed by management. Other duties, responsibilities, and qualifications may be assigned as necessary.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree emphasizing training, human resources, business, communications, or sales knowledge, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 3 years managing the development of educational programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Education certification preferred.
  • Experienced and dynamic eLearning professional with in-depth storyboarding, writing, editing, and overall instructional design skills.
  • Proven track record of designing transformative eLearning content, representing appropriate learning theories and strategies, and utilizing the most current instructional design techniques and technologies.
  • Experience with cloud-based, computer-based and other multi-media education techniques, including cloud-based learning management systems.
  • Track record of excellent project management skills and managing timelines for delivery, especially planning workflows/workload in a design team.
  • Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
  • Ability to set and measure KPIs based on business strategies/goals to gauge the impact of educational programming on sales performance/results.
  • Experience creating reports and analyzing data from LMS, CRM, and business intelligence platforms.
  • A natural collaborator and team player; works well with internal stakeholders to create alignment and mutual support of priorities and goals.
  • Ability to articulate a clear vision/objective and align direct reports and others toward the achievement of stated goals.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; exceptional presentation skills in group settings.
