About this role

Responsible for providing face-to-face, hybrid and online training to early childhood practitioners to effectively implement best practices in early childcare settings so that all children, families and staff have high quality experiences. Assists with the development of training manuals to support best practices in training design and delivery. This is a grant funded position, which requires some evening and Saturday hours. Continued employment is contingent upon grant funding.

What a day of an Early Learning Trainer looks like:

  • Facilitates trainings and provides a learning environment that fosters effective adult learning opportunities.
  • Plans, develops, and designs innovative and engaging course content, materials, handouts, PowerPoints, and assessments for a variety of instructional formats.
  • Monitors instructional delivery best practices and learner assessments. Adjusts techniques or recommends changes when appropriate to ensure delivered skills are meeting learner needs and desired performance outcomes.
  • Collaborates with peers on the development, design, and quality assurance of course content.
  • Collects data needed to perform planning and programming activities through methods including field surveys, interviews, and records research. Supports the Institute’s Micro-Credentialing Program.
  • Utilizes effective online educational tools for instruction, coaching, and meetings.
  • Interacts with students in a professional and ethical manner.
  • Regularly assigned lead worker; assists with technical guidance and training.
  • Maintains current knowledge of field and profession. Travels to training workshops, conferences, meetings, or professional association events outside of college locations as needed.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

We’d love to hear from you if you have the following:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field of study including at least 9 credits in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
  • Two years of related experience

Knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Professional or similar applications
  • Blackboard, Canvas, Camtasia, Zoom, TEAMS, Articulate 360 and Adobe products

Skilled in:                

  • Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task management
  • Fact finding, analysis, and problem solving
  • Delivering a high level of customer service
  • Promoting cooperative behavior and team efforts

Ability to:

  • Effectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of service
  • Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectiveness
  • Collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Interact in a positive manner with diverse populations and varying education levels of students, faculty, staff, and the public

Licenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:

  • Regular physical attendance required
  • Valid Florida driver’s license

Preferred but not required:

  • Education and Experience:
  • Prior experience as a lead worker or indirect supervisor

The minimum base pay range for this position starts at $46,721.00 annually; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate’s education and experience.
