BAYADA Home Health Care has an immediate opening for a corporate Director of Instructional Design and Development. This is a senior director level role. The Director, Instructional Design and Development will provide strategic leadership in designing and developing innovative, effective, and engaging learning solutions that align with organizational goals. The Director will lead a team of instructional designers, content developers, and multimedia specialists to create cutting-edge learning experiences for caregiver and office staff across multiple business verticals (specialty practice lines) in the organization.

This position can be based remotely but will require approximately 20% travel. The ideal candidate will be based on the East Coast.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Four (4) year college degree.
  • Seven (7)+ years of relevant experience with growing responsibilities and previous Manager experience.
  • Extensive instructional design and development experience.
  • Is a strategic thinker and can effectively build long-term strategies.
  • Partners well with others (inside and outside the organization).
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional listening and communication skills.
  • Must be proficient in needs assessment, adult learning theory, training delivery and evaluation.
  • Must exemplify BAYADA Home Health Care’s values: Compassion, Excellence and Reliability.
  • Experience with e-learning platforms and Learning Management Systems (LMS) preferred.
  • Familiarity with multimedia development tools and technologies preferred.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in adult learning theory and instructional design preferred.
  • Acceptable pre-employment assessment results.
  • Ability to read, write and effectively communicate in English.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and communicate the core values of BAYADA and The BAYADA Way.
  • Develop working knowledge of BAYADA’s mission, services, people, organization, policies, and procedures.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive instructional design and development strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into learning and development initiatives.
  • Oversee the end-to-end instructional design process, ensuring the creation of high-quality and effective learning materials.
  • Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to design engaging and interactive learning experiences.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in instructional design and e-learning.
  • Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies to enhance the delivery of learning content.
  • Establish and implement quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and effectiveness of learning materials.
  • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of instructional design projects.
  • Develop and manage the instructional design and development budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, business leaders, and other stakeholders to gather input and feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Responsible for inspiring a team of designers and developers to create and deliver learning content in the flow of work.
    • Build a strong team that is responsible for creating the complete learning experience.
    • Ensure standards of content development are established and executed.
    • Work with a team to identify and standardize assessment criteria.
    • Partner with outside consultants to ensure service levels and quality meet or exceed our set standards.
  • Leads the leadership development design experience to ensure learning is embedded in daily routines.
    • Works with outside vendors and internal teams to develop leadership programs.
    • Maps out experiences to ensure leadership behaviors are practiced and applied.
    • Build out programs (AI coaching, mentoring) to sustain and help support our leaders.
  • Partners with the Learning Advisor team to ensure plans come to life.
    • Collaborates with the Learning Advisor team to plan out roadmaps.
    • Conducts agile quarterly workforce capacity planning.
    • Listens closely to needs and works with team to launch learning that drives business outcomes.
  • Demonstrate solid performance or exceed performance standards in key job dimensions/attributes as defined on the Performance Appraisal for Office Staff.
  • Perform related duties, or as required or requested by supervisor.
