Assistant Director, Online Learning

Summary

The Freeman Assistant Director for Online Learning will be a key asset in the development and deployment of the technological infrastructure supporting online programs at the A.B. Freeman School of Business. The successful candidate will establish efficient and effective online learning and teaching strategies and IT project management methodologies to all technological systems, infrastructures and workflows supporting online program initiatives. A collaborator and innovator—this individual will work with various constituents to continuously evolve A.B. Freeman’s digital framework to support its cultivation of high-impact online program offerings.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and verbal/written communication skills. 
  • Ability to work independently and to address needs and questions quickly.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
  • Ability to utilize shared files via cloud storage system.
  • Ability to work with individuals with diverse levels of knowledge and understanding of Tulane systems, including Canvas and Media site.

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • At least 7 years of related experience in higher education and admissions processes 
  • At least 3 years of experience in online education operations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in a related field 
  • Knowledge of the online graduate program admissions life cycle.
  • Demonstrated expertise of operating within the Slate CRM platform.                                                                                                                                                                                
  • Experience working with SIS and LMS platforms, including Canvas.
  • Web development experience (CSS, HTML, JavaScript, etc.).
  • Knowledge and technical proficiency in SQL and interface programming languages/applications.

Compensation Information

This position is classified as “exempt, salaried” and is assigned to pay grade 26.
