Position Summary

The Training Specialist will primarily be responsible for facilitating live virtual training sessions and webinars for new and existing Virtuous clients. This role also includes occasional travel and facilitation of live, in-person training sessions. As an internal product expert, the Training Specialist will be responsible for contributing to support documentation and training content, including video e-learning courses. They will also provide support to internal teams and collaborate with other subject matter experts as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Thoroughly understand all the features of our Virtuous suite of products and effectively convey complex information to both customers and internal staff.
  • Develop, execute, and track progress on training plans for customers based on their unique needs, ensuring timely completion.
  • Deliver workshops and/or webinar sessions (about 12 hours/week) on key functions,  applications, and best practices for multiple Virtuous products with excellent clarity and quality. 
  • Create, modify, and optimize training materials, including support articles, infographics, and video content, adhering to relevant style guides.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts for technical training development.
  • Assist with curriculum development.

You Must Have

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design, education, training, or related field.
  • Experience teaching or conducting technical training in classrooms, webinars, or a customer-facing role.
  • An understanding of adult learning theory and concepts.
  • Outstanding organizational, presentation, and communication skills, including verbal, written, and visual.
  • The ability to prioritize time and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to quickly absorb and understand new information.
  • A passion for innovation and helping nonprofits succeed.
  • An ongoing curiosity to learn about our products, our customers, and the nonprofit sector.

Nice to Have

  • An understanding of the nonprofit sector and the needs of nonprofit organizations across multiple verticals.
  • Experience with Zendesk, Camtasia, Zoom Webinar, Hubspot, Miro, Genial.ly, Canva, and/or Chameleon.
  • Experience with nonprofit CRMs, fundraising and event software, integrations and APIs, querying and reporting, as well as nonprofit best practices.
  • Comfortable with data and spreadsheets.
  • Baseline knowledge of SQL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS.
