Schneider is seeking a Training and Development Administrator in Green Bay to design, develop, execute, and evaluate content, curriculum, and training materials for the Driver Training program throughout Schneider. Curriculum team members help support and ensure the trainers and instructors are qualified and educated per appropriate methods. Ensures updates to training content and materials are completed and distributed to all impacted parties in a timely and coordinated manner. Analyzes training needs and opportunities to ensure all driver training content and techniques address the needs of the fleet. Revises/updates curriculum as necessary due to industry changes, trends, customer requests, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a needs analysis from various sources, including trainers and instructors and Safety Leadership on the effectiveness of the driver training programs, the content and the recommended modifications.
  • Respond to inquiries about training program content, application, and design from internal departments, providing required data from archived content.
  • Create, produce and distribute appropriate instructional aides with appropriate instructional formats.
  • Design, develop, schedule, execute and evaluate ongoing fleet training events (i.e. Sustainment Training, Continuing Education Training, etc.).
  • Assist in the development, creation, installation, and execution of customized driver training curriculum for new business start-ups or fleet training interventions, as needed.
  • Train and qualify new Driver Training Center instructors. Provide direct feedback to recommend opportunities for improvement of training delivery skills, as appropriate.
  • Conduct on-the-job evaluations of all instructor groups to ensure consistent, quality application of skills and methods at field training sites. Provide direct feedback to recommend opportunities for improvement of training delivery skills, as appropriate.

Skills and qualifications:  

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of two plus years of relevant work experience
  • Special certifications or experience in adult learning preferred (i.e. Professional Training Development, Adult Learning, Certified Director of Safety)
  • Current Class A CDL
  • Valid driver’s license and meet Schneider’s DMV record standards
  • Travel time of 20-30% is expected in this role for training or auditing activities.

Not required, but a plus:

  • Ability to maintains audio/video production skills and Adobe Creative Cloud application expertise and other applications suitable to development of training material.
  • Demonstrated technical writing ability.
  • Ability to develop training materials in Articulate and computer-based training programming applications.
  • Demonstrated Audio/Video Production skill to include digital media production of short YouTube style how to videos.
  • Knowledge and experience programming in the HTML5 platform.
  • Background in coordinated use of Adobe Creative Cloud applications including but not limited to: Photoshop, Lightroom, Premier Pro, After Effects, Animate and Audition.
  • Demonstrated skill in motion graphics.
  • Bilingual.
