Position Summary

As the Technical Training Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technical skills and knowledge of the maintenance team and machine operators. This role focuses on designing and implementing technical equipment training programs utilizing resources within the Technical Training Center. It will also involve subject matter experts throughout the company. You will be a driving force behind the continuous growth and technical competencies of the maintenance technicians and machine operators.

  • Develop standardized onboarding and continued development programs for the local leadership team, operators, and maintenance technicians to build leadership, functional, NCE/TPM, line-centric, and technical competencies.
  • Monitor and coordinate ongoing onboarding and competence management for maintenance personnel at the factory location.
  • Coordinate and oversee the deployment of digital tools, including Learning Management Systems and applications.
  • Use project management to lead, manage, and recommend continuous improvements to the Technical Training Center. Develop and utilize technical training modules, oversee technical training curriculum development, and execution.
  • Lead, train, and coach the factory maintenance teams, department leaders, and operators in ownership of technical training activities.
  • Partner with the E&T and Factory Leadership Team to develop, coordinate, and implement the training needs of the factory.
  • Develop and deliver classroom and hands-on training with an emphasis on our 70-20-10 learning principles. Use appropriate modes, methods, and materials for the best learning venue and knowledge transfer, with skill and behavioral applications.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support change management rollouts and ensure that business processes and culture are prepared for the successful implementation of technical training services and enterprise solutions aligned with business needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Training and Development, Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.

OR

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent and 3+ years’ experience developing and executing technical programs in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.

The approximate pay range for this position is $59,000.00 – $94,000.00. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location
