The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $83,804 to $104,756.

Title: Technical Trainer (Gas line of business)

Job Summary

The Technical Trainer will oversee a program encompassing the development and delivery of training, enhancement of curriculum, collaboration with operational  teams, management of Learning Management Systems (LMS), and scheduling to all areas of the Gas line of business. Additionally, they must effectively communicate complex technical concepts in a clear and engaging manner, assess the effectiveness of training sessions, and make necessary improvements. Collaboration with operations to ensure Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) are secured for training sessions requiring them. Meticulous management of the LMS ensures accurate tracking of progress and certifications. The role also involves scheduling training sessions to accommodate the needs of the organization and its employees, maintaining a balance between operational demands and educational development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement technical training programs tailored to meet organizational needs.
  • Develop training materials, such as presentations, worksheets, and instructor guides.
  • Conduct training sessions, in a multitude of mediums to best engage students while maximizing efficiency.
  • Assess the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements based on feedback and results.
  • Manage training resources, ensuring all materials and equipment are up-to-date and in good working condition.
  • Stay informed about the latest technological trends and advancements to incorporate into training programs.
  • Evaluate trainee performance, provide feedback, and offer assistance to enhance their technical competencies.
  • Ensure 100% accuracy of Learning Management System to track competency and certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum years of experience: 3+ years of experience in a relevant technical trade

Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed apprentice program or other relevant trade qualifications.
  • Experience in safety related regulations such as OSHA and any potential state mandated regulations.
  • Previous training experience.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, instructional design, or other relevant area of study
  • Equivalent experience and education
