Reporting to the Assistant Manager, Learning & Development, you will support the designing, planning, and implementation of an enterprise-wide leadership development program. You will create programs that build managerial capabilities, improving planning, delegation and risk management skills.

Here is what a typical day looks like

  • Design, develop and deliver scalable learning on core leadership and managerial programs in both face to face and virtual interactions
  • Conducting training needs analyses with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in the business to determine leadership and managerial development gaps and requirements
  • Designing benchmarks, effort and cost, research, and recommending buy versus build opportunities for leadership and managerial development
  • Organizing training delivery methods for classroom, web conferencing, and e-learning modalities
  • Monitoring, evaluating, and recording training activities and program effectiveness
  • Creating and editing current course materials such as reference guides, job aids, infographics, videos and webinars to ensure timely and relevant learning
  • Ensuring full learning cycle, curriculum design, development, execution, and review
  • Provide outstanding program/project management support
  • Assist with developing presentations related to leadership and managerial development strategy, performance and roadmap
  • Facilitating training programs for classroom, web conferencing, and e-learning
  • Managing and evaluating learning programs using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation)
  • Evaluating and presenting on training effectiveness and ROI
  • Analyzing information gathered from learners and business leaders on success of programs and making recommendations for continuous development, improvement and quality of learning programs
  • Conducting training needs analyses for leadership and managerial learning initiatives
  • Aligning business development needs with best practices in the learning & development field and the insurance industry
  • Creating well researched training proposals with appropriately sourced materials and information

The value you bring

  • Level 1 Insurance License an asset but not required
  • Certified Training Professional (CTP) or Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) an asset
  • Creative and innovative thinker
  • Proficient with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360)
  • You have presented to Senior Leadership and have strong follow through with on-going communications to various stakeholders.
  • Experienced solving problems through written content delivery
  • Ability to convey complex principles in an easy-to-understand way
  • Completion of a Post-Secondary Education in Communications or similar field of study. Combination of experience and Education will be considered
