The Continuous Improvement Training Team seeks a talented and experienced Senior Instructional Designer to join our team.

In this role, you will provide leadership and direction on instructional design models, adult learning theories, training needs analysis, and training effectiveness metrics. You will use your instructional and curriculum design expertise to create, update, and deliver engaging and effective e-learning, instructor-led, and blended approach education and training for our business processes and platforms.

With your skills and experience, you will help drive continuous improvement in our training programs and contribute to the success of our team and organization. 

Main Responsibilities:

  • Applying knowledge of instructional design theory to design and develop on-demand learning content such as multimedia courses, videos, user guides, and quick reference guides. 
  • Supporting the development and facilitation of instructor-led training. 
  • Identifying appropriate training approaches and methodologies based on audience learning styles, course content, audience location, and points within the learning process.  
  • Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop measurable learning outcomes and design engaging learning materials and assessments for specific business groups. 
  • Managing training projects and timelines from inception to release. 
  • Strategizing with training specialists and business stakeholders on the best approaches for training programs.  
  • Orchestrating user testing with focus groups before training release. 
  • Strategizing with LMS administrators to deploy training and education materials.   
  • Partnering with the Communications Team to review how the training is being communicated to the business before launch.  
  • Coordinating and managing the translation of specific training materials. 

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or technology-related fields.  
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an instructional designer; corporate experience preferred. 
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail. 
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data-driven decision-making. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. 
  • Experience working in the renewable energy sector is a plus.

The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $85.000 and $106.250/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus,  in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
