We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Manager, Online Learning Projectsto lead and manage our online learning initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in educational technology, project management, and instructional design, with a passion for creating engaging and effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

Content Development and Preparation:

  • Responsible for managing external online content elements (“content”) creation professionals and subject manager experts. This includes investigating, contacting, and selecting high quality professionals to create content (webinars or asynchronous) or serve as subject matter experts. Owns the negotiation of rates based on yearly budget, contract creation and execution, and management of content creation professionals according to the terms of the contracts.            

Content Planning and Strategy:

  • Responsible for all aspects of project management of online course development and webinar projects. Includes but is not limited to production schedule creation, budgeting and asset allocation, course testing and implementation into the learning management system and coordination with all levels of production team. Coordination of duties and work collaboratively with team members in all phases of course development. Responsible for assisting with all phases of program development for webinars and eschools, from booking to working with speakers before events on content and logistics, dry runs and other reviews of submitted presentations, coordinating with and delivering program information to marketing, on-site and/or virtual management, and post-conference follow through for assigned projects.     

Audience Engagement and Support:

  • Accountable for responding to member feedback, corrections, updates, and bug fixes to all CPD Online content elements based on established Service Level Agreements. Responsible for preforming testing and troubleshooting of content elements. Involves working directly with internal and external developers and third-party content providers to rectify all issues. Responsible for communicating solutions to internal or external parties as appropriate.           

Online Content Maintenance:

  • Responsible for the online content library. This includes identification of new course titles, creation of course roadmaps, and analysis of the library. Recommend content topics to improve the learning experience based on analysis of topics. Communicates content library updates to internal and external stakeholders. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required – Project Management, Adult Education, Instructional Design, Business or related field.  Additional education or certification in Project Management is desirable.
  • Prior work experience that demonstrates success as a project manager in adult education programming – including fiscal/budgetary management, curriculum design and development, evaluation, as well as electronic delivery of educational programs, and people/team leadership.
  • At least five (5) years of related experience with learning projects.
  • At least three (3) years adult learning and online training experience.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in instructional design & delivery of online training.
  • Demonstrated success through previous experience achieving results without direct authority. Forms relationships with people up and down the company and develops trust to work with – and through – others to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Comfortable on camera, moderating webinars with multiple subject Matter Experts. 
  • Establishes and fosters effective working relationships at all levels of the organization and external vendors. Draws on those relationships to gain knowledge and accomplish objectives.
  • Strong organization, prioritization and communication skills that drive the success of projects through the entire project lifecycle. Must be comfortable with changing direction and aggressive budgetary goals. Must have highly effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to manage multiple relationships among internal and external contacts.
  • Knowledge of contemporary adult learning theories; instructional design; curriculum design and assessment methodology. 
  • Skillfully communicates verbally, in writing, and through presentation delivery. 
  • Understanding of educational technology applications and administration of Learning Management Systems [LMS]. Ability to apply strong working knowledge of modern curriculum strategy and instructional design methodologies, adult learning theories, and a strong understanding of modern curriculum development tools and strategies. 
  • Creative leader who explores new ideas, keeping credit unions future needs in mind. Encourages and promotes this expanded thinking in others at all levels and functions across the organization.   • Demonstrated currency in designed field, keeping current with trends in product and trends with the customer. Leverages knowledge and information from a variety of sources.

This position is fully remote based out of any of the following states: Arizona, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Montana, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.
