Overview:

Learning and Organizational Development is a fast paced and dynamic environment with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

Reporting to the Manager of Learning Strategies, the Learning Strategist will lead two portfolios supporting our cyber secure culture and digital workplace programs.  With a strong background in training development, facilitation and program management, the Learning Strategist will partner with Information Technology to educate and engage the organization on cyber secure behaviors. Further this position will develop and facilitate communications, documentation, and training for enterprise-wide applications such as Office 360, SharePoint Online and OneNote. Please note that being a strong communicator, instructional designer and writer are essential requirements for this position.

This is a remote position that may require occasional travel to our corporate office in Edmonton.

What You Will Dp:

  • Collaborate with the L&OD Manager and Director to create portfolio roadmaps, including key deliverables supporting strategic objectives identified through our People Strategy.
  • Research trends and gather resources to inform portfolio objectives and future planning.
  • Connect with stakeholders at all levels to intimately understand their needs and requirements in respect to the portfolio deliverables.
  • Develop engaging presentations for diverse stakeholders (including executive leadership) taking into account learning styles and/or communication requirements.
  • Develop live virtual training and presentations on cyber security topics and how to use various applications.
  • Perform as a go-to expert on how to use enterprise technologies, such as SharePoint, Microsoft 360 and OneNote.
  • Apply ADDIE and adult learning theories to develop and deliver high-quality, engaging training
  • Tracking and evaluating the progress of deliverables, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Contribute to the selection and/or development of various program evaluation tools to continually assess content, outcomes, and their impact.
  • Provide detailed analytical reports on the success and/or failure of projects and activities.
  • Create buy-in for new initiatives and existing programs.
  • Promote the benefits, guidelines and programs attached to the portfolio across the organization.
  • Understand Alberta Blue Cross strategic direction and how the portfolio has a direct support into our ability to achieve our Blue for Life vision.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with team members and stakeholders at all levels across the organization.

What You Will Have:

  • Post-secondary degree in a related field such as Adult Education, Human Resources, Communications, Business, Organizational Development.
  • 5+ years related experience developing and facilitating training and overseeing programs dedicated to organizational learning.
  • Adult Learning certificate and/or curriculum development certificate from accredited institution.
  • Experience developing leadership training and resources.
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to a variety of audiences at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent presentation skills including facilitation.
  • Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including written and verbal.
  • Excellent active listening skills.
  • Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with others.
  • Ability to work well independently as part of a virtual team.
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships.
  • Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal.
  • Organized with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics.
