About The Position

As the Learning and Development Specialist, you’ll work with our Learning & Development team in a hybrid role that includes time at our corporate headquarters in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida, as well as travel. You’ll partner with a variety of subject matter experts to design, write, develop, manage, and facilitate complex learning and development projects for multiple audiences.

This role is a perfect fit for motivated individuals who are passionate about employee development by enhancing their knowledge and skillset.

You will be required to effectively present training material in both in-person and virtual settings, catering to individual participants or large audiences.

Regular travel will be required each month, with the potential to peak up to 75% during high-demand periods. If you enjoy exploring new places while helping others learn and grow, this opportunity is for you!

Position Details/Responsibilities

  • Facilitate hands-on training sessions that range from one on one to large groups as needed.
  • Design, structure, and maintain multi-platform training content (including activities, materials, and assessments) with a focus on optimizing the learner experience.
  • Effectively work with a variety of subject matter experts (business and IT partners, management, training team members, etc.)
  • Administers program maintenance which includes scheduling, tracking, and reporting
  • Assists in developing and coordinating training materials based on organizational and employee needs.
  • Aids in developing training manuals for specific topics.
  • Develops training resources by preparing notes and visual displays in coordination with training needs and specific departmental needs.
  • Assists in performing all functions of instructional design, which includes analyzing the knowledge gaps, designing and developing the learning solution, and evaluating the outcome.
  • Potential to travel up to 75% during high-demand periods to Power Design’s jobsites in various regions

Here’s What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (instructional design, curriculum development, or other related field)
  • Prior training, teaching, or related experience preferred.
  • Someone skilled at in-person and online curriculum development and facilitation for small and large groups
  • Experience with development & delivery of instructor-led training workshops, in the classroom and virtually.
  • Adapts to change easily.
  • Strong track record of rapidly deploying learning.
  • Someone who is extremely organized, creative, and obsessed with the details
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), and experience working with a learning management system (LMS) a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish with ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form highly preferred.
  • Construction industry experience a plus.
