Overview

We’re looking for a Learning & Development Manager that will lead a group of talented Learning Managers supporting our segments across the organization. You’ll have the opportunity to develop and deliver tailored learning solutions that address the unique needs of each segment, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and drive a culture of continuous learning and growth. This role will be a strategic partner with strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize building business critical skills! 

Lead a Team:

  • This role will lead a team of Learning Managers across our North America Retail, North America Foodservice and Pet Segments
  • Inspire, motivate, coach and achieve results through a team
  • Foster agility with the team to take effective actions in rapidly-changing and complex conditions; pivoting when needed to drive results

Pet Segment:

  • Deploy a development strategy aligned to the highest priority business development needs and incorporation of foundational development needs
  • Build and delivery of learning will be led and executed with other Learning Managers across the team
  • Understand unique needs of Pet Segment and deliver create solutions that advance Pet Culture while delivering training support
  • Engage with key stakeholders and manage execution of Pet Learning Programs, inclusive of Pet Onboarding
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Pet Segment (business team leaders, talent team, and HR Business Partners) to ensure prioritization, alignment on key learning needs, and effective communication of the learning opportunities

Sales and Analytics:

  • Accountable for building skills in sales and analytics for the segments and ensure a simplified, and timely learning in the flow of work across segments
  • Identify the sales and analytics learning to drive business performance across our segments
  • Delivery of the sales & analytics learning strategy through your learning team with a focus on embedding learning into the flow of work
  • This role will be responsible for orchestration and the project management of components of the sales and analytics learning across the segments
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including: business team leaders, talent, and HR Business Partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and consulting skills
  • Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at all levels in the organization
  • Strong Verbal and written communication, group facilitation skills and project management skills
  • Proven ability to analyze needs, prioritize solutions, and effectively communicate scope, timelines, and adjustments as priorities evolve
  • Must be able to create and drive a clear strategy built with varying opinions from leaders and stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and achieve through others without direct authority

Preferred:

  • Successfully led a team
  • Led end-to end-experience — identifying, defining and activating holistic learning and development strategy
  • Knowledge and experience with all types of learning delivery methods (i.e., learning at the point of work, cohort, instructor-led, online courses, e-learning)

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $106800.00 – $160300.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee’s pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifications, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
