Child & Family Studies (CFS) is one of seven departments and schools within the College of Behavioral & Community Sciences (CBCS) at the University of South Florida (USF). Organized into three research divisions and four academic programs that work synergistically, CFS currently has approximately 275 faculty and staff members. During FY24, CFS is managing a portfolio of over 65 federal and non-federal contracts and grants totaling $76 million. Our research divisions include the Florida Center for Inclusive Communities (FCIC), Child and Family Behavioral Health (CFBH), and the Rightpath Research and Innovation Center. CFS’s four academic programs are Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health (CABH), Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling (CRMHC), and Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). Six graduate certificates and one undergraduate certificate are also offered.

CFS efforts are consistent with the CBCS mission of combining knowledge gained through the behavioral sciences with knowledge gained from the community. Position Summary: The Learning and Development Facilitator is a supportive position for the Florida HIPPY Training and Technical Assistance (T&TA) Center. This position may work remotely and travel to program sites throughout Florida.

Responsibilities:

Learning & Development Facilitators for the T&TAC work as the liaisons between the T&TAC and local HIPPY sites. They are responsible for the effective communication of national and state priorities to site coordinators and are expected to provide recommended guidance to sites when doing so assists with their self-sufficiency and improved performance.

The Florida HIPPY LDFs are responsible for the state’s training schedule, including all contract deliverables pertaining to training and development, and all their related activities. In collaboration with the T&TAC, LDFs will identify training topics and speakers that align with the Florida HIPPY strategic plan. As part of the state training effort, T&TAC LDFs will manage and maintain the Florida HIPPY Training Platform and assist in the development of and updates to training modules.

The Florida HIPPY LDFs are responsible for all monitoring activities, including all contract deliverables related to monitoring, and their related activities. LDFs must demonstrate a capacity to work with site coordinators to identify challenges, unite HIPPY leaders statewide to generate solutions and document best practices for future and novice HIPPY sites and personnel. As part of the Florida HIPPY Network, T&TAC LDFs will manage and maintain the Florida HIPPY Discussion Group and support sites in building their local partnerships and advisory committees.

Serve as a mass communication and online content creator, responsible for managing and producing compelling content for the website, eblasts, social media, and other special events such as Advisory Committee and Legislator Events. This role aims to disseminate knowledge and outcomes of the Florida HIPPY program in collaboration with sites, encouraging local participation in increasing the visibility of HIPPY, USF, and all related activities and their outcomes.

All members of the T&TAC participate in special projects related to the Center’s strategic plan, and as such, are often given assignments that are not ongoing responsibilities. These assignments are often objectives that move the Center towards achieving team goals, which are modified and adapted annually as needed.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Position QUualifications:

Minimum: This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching, Learning, Curriculum, Instructional Design, Ed-Psych, Communication or equivalent with one year of experience in a professional training position; or a Master’s degree in the same field. Certain grants and programs may also have specific education and/or certification requirements specific to the subject matter area of the program.

Preferred: At least two (2) years of work experience, at least two (2) years of experience with instructional design in online settings, evidence of successful instruction for adult learning using various modes of delivery, and familiarity with the HIPPY program and four-year curriculum content. An expert ability to use the REDCap Data Management System, AI Tools, and Learning Management Systems.

Special Skills/Training: Online Learning Management (OLM) platforms, presentation skills, instructional design, and adult learning strategies.
