Position Specific Description

NextEra Energy is seeking a creative and dynamic Learning and Development Consultant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing engaging content across learning and video platforms that promote our learning and development initiatives. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, skilled in multiple communications channels and adept at creating content that resonates with a diverse audience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a learning content strategy to promote NextEra Energy’s learning and development programs.
  • Create, curate, and publish engaging content, including graphics, videos, infographics, and written posts, to internal learning platforms.
  • Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to understand program offerings and translate them into compelling content.
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics to measure the effectiveness of content and strategies, making data-driven decisions to optimize engagement.
  • Stay up-to-date with learning content trends, tools, and best practices to ensure the delivery methods are innovative and effective.
  • Engage with employees, respond to comments and messages, and foster a sense of community around the brand’s learning and development initiatives.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to schedule and promote webinars, training sessions, and other learning events.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely posts.
  • Ensure all content aligns with the company’s brand, voice, and messaging guidelines. 
  • This role will also require facilitation of content and classes as needed

Additional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, or a related field. 
  • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of analytics and metrics to measure content performance.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to generate new ideas and approaches to learning and development content.
  • Experience in the learning and development field is a plus.

Job Overview

Employees in this role develop and facilitate learning and development programs. Individuals consult with business unit leaders and teams in one or more of the following areas: performance, employee engagement, career development, competency models, talent development, team effectiveness.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partners with key stakeholders to conduct individual or team performance analyses, identify gaps and determine training needs
  • Consults on the best combination of instructional methods, which may include formal course development (instructor led, virtual instructor led, e-learning) to deliver the education
  • Participates in or manages projects by assessing, planning, negotiating, organizing, monitoring and evaluating the implementation process through the development and execution of documented project plans
  • Manages all phases of instructional systems design including analyzing, designing, developing and evaluating education deliverables
  • Facilitates professional development programs to include communication skills, productivity, new hire orientation and corporate culture programs
  • Supports program management to include vendor selection, participant selection, evaluation, communication and logistics for training classes
  • Records, edits and produces video and audio content for delivery via the web
  • Provides basic consulting services with guidance or counsel from senior practitioners
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience 
  • Experience: 1+ years
