Job Description

This internship position represents an unusual and exciting opportunity to work for one of the largest information technology centers in the Wasatch front. This individual works with divine guidance to provide or support technology that furthers the mission of the Church and reflects the eternal impact of the gospel. A skilled and seasoned mentor will be provided to guide you during the internship.

Position Overview: As a Learning and Development intern, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development and execution of learning initiatives within our organization. This internship offers hands-on experience in creating engaging training content, facilitating workshops, and collaborating with various teams and roles to ensure the success of our learning programs. You will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals in the field and gain practical insights into the world of corporate learning and development.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in Curriculum Development:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify learning needs.
  • Contribute to the creation of engaging and effective training materials.

Facilitate Training Sessions:

  • Co-facilitate workshops and training sessions under the guidance of experienced L&D professionals.
  • Gain experience in delivering content to diverse audiences.

Learning Program Administration:

  • Support the logistics and coordination of training programs.
  • Update learning content on the department intranet to enhance accessibility and relevance.

Technology Integration:

  • Explore and recommend innovative technologies to enhance the learning experience.
  • Assist in the implementation of e-learning platforms and tools.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with various teams and divisions to understand their training needs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Evaluation and Feedback:

  • Contribute to the assessment of training programs and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Assist in analyzing data and metrics related to the impact of learning initiatives.

Qualifications

  • You should be currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a relevant undergraduate or graduate program.
  • Internship is for current temple worthy members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
  • Strong interest in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take initiative.
  • Basic knowledge of instructional design principles is a plus.
  • Familiarity with e-learning tools and platforms is advantageous.

Work Schedule:

This is a 40 hour per week internship that is expected to last approximately 4 months. Internships will start within 1-3 months. Normal office hours are between 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday through Friday. This will work a hybrid schedule, some days in office, some days from home.
