What You’ll Do:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Instructional Designer to join the team and drive developing and implementing experiential training content for our Manufacturing shops. This role is responsible for partnering with our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to assess training needs, design curriculum, and create engaging, learner-centered content that supports operational excellence. The ideal candidate has a strong background in instructional design, an understanding of manufacturing environments, and the ability to translate technical concepts into accessible and effective learning experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop engaging, outcomes-focused training content for a range of delivery methods, including in person, eLearning’s, and blended learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with SME’s, production supervisors, technician trainers within manufacturing to inform learning objectives and content requirement, and ensure content aligns with operational goals and compliance and safety standards.
  • Lead the development of learner journeys specific to the Manufacturing department to ensure curriculums guide employees through skill- building and career progression, ensuring content aligns with both individual and organizational goals.
  • Oversee the instructional design process from initial concept to final implementation, managing timelines and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Create and design a variety of instructional materials, including written documentation, course materials, checklists, and job aids, tailored to the needs of the Manufacturing department.
  • Support the design, organization, and overall user experience of the Learning Management System, Cornerstone.
  • Collaborate with external vendors as needed to source, develop, or enhance training solutions.
  • Support the development of standardized record keeping processes.
  • Develop assessment strategies to measure training effectiveness, gather learner feedback, and iterate on content to ensure ongoing relevance and impact.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or related field.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience in leading complex training projects from conception to completion.
  • Strong visual design ability.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools and visual design (example: Adobe captivate, Articulate Storyline) and LMS platforms.
  • Experience using and administering LMS platforms (Cornerstone preferred).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment.
  • Driven, motivated, and committed to improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Development, Graphic Design, Communication, or related field.
  • Experience working in technical training or manufacturing/production training programs.

US Salary Range

$90,000 – $135,000 USD 

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Anduril’s total compensation package.
