The Instructional Designer Senior Specialist is an expert in learning and technology and supports the Office of Curriculum and Scholarship (OCS) by collaborating with College of Medicine (COM) faculty to promote educational strategies and innovations that increase learner engagement and improve learning outcomes. The core functions of the Instructional Designer include (1) consulting with faculty to develop and manage eLearning modules, guided learnings, textbooks, multimedia, and digital and print materials to support learning, scholarship, and proposals for funding; (2) collaborating with faculty to pilot new educational technologies and instructional approaches; (3) providing technical support and training for educational technologies; and (4) designing, implementing, and evaluating faculty development programs related to instruction and educational technology.

Minimum Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in relevant field may be desirable. 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred. Requires successful completion of a background check; qualified candidates may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
