This individual will focus on developing digital learning experiences across Xfinity Growth, Innovation, & Experience (XGIE) and Comcast Business. This role will partner closely with the following key stakeholders – learning partners– to develop learning assets and platforms that enable business strategies to be realized. In addition, the ideal candidate will have proven problem-solving skills and learning software/platforms technical acumen.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Assists in learning content development and design using authoring tools and media. Articulate 360 and Adobe Creative Cloud skills required. 
  • Collaborates with peers to build highly effective learning and performance support materials and manage projects effectively. 
  • Participates in working sessions with leaders, peers, and SMEs to design and develop learning initiatives, such as: new learning product development and redesigns of existing learning products. 
  • Communicates learning product development progress to partners – maintaining a facilitative approach, listening for both passive and active feedback and iterating based on that feedback along the way. 
  • Creates inclusive learner experiences, including using global accessibility standards and ensuring that all learners, regardless of identity, feel included and represented in the content. 
  • Develops e-learning, virtual (vILT), and in-person (ILT) learning adhering to internal style and brand guidelines. 
  • Executes deliverables, such as: prototypes, storyboards/video scripts, journey maps/experience narratives, content strategy/design documents, and other instructional materials. 
  • Applies Agile/Scrum methodology to co-create products, test, deploy, and improve in an iterative fashion. 
  • Prioritizes and plans project tasks, monitoring progress and documenting project issues through a project management tool to ensure clear communication with project team. 
  • Consistent exercise of critical thinking, learner-centered design thinking, and cross-teams collaboration. 

Demonstrated skills include: 

  • Ability to think strategically and exercise critical thinking to troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to consult with learning peers to develop and execute solutions accordingly.
  • Communicate effectively with peers.  Ability to explain the benefits and functionality of the learning and how it can help achieve specific goals.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning theories and models based on learner moment of need to drive employee performance.
  • Intermediate technical and coding skills.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends. 
  • A growth mindset and staying current with the latest instructional design/digital technologies and trends. 
  • Passion for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1 or more years working job history in instructional design or related field.
  • Experience with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS and digital adoption. Prompt engineering experience a plus.
  • Degree or Certification in programming or Instructional Design 
  • General LMS experience. Workday is preferred.
  • Proven ability to develop learning products in a range of formats: pdf, e-learnings, e-books, video and iterate based on feedback. 
  • Foundational knowledge in Camtasia, Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Cloud and/or other similar programs. 
  • Must have a portfolio of examples of digital work. (We will only consider applicants with a portfolio).

Salary:

National Pay Range: $53,606.85 USD-$125,641.05 USD

Bachelor’s Degree

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
