Job Description
The Instructional Designer reporting to the Executive Directors of Learning Technology and The Learning Engineering Institute in the Office of the University Provost will play a pivotal role in transforming teaching and learning experiences at Arizona State University. Utilizing the latest in educational technologies and grounded in sound pedagogy, this individual will create engaging and interactive instruction that appeals to a diverse audience. This includes the innovative application of artificial intelligence tools, both generative and non-generative, to enhance instructional content and pedagogy.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field AND Three (3) years of providing learning/instructional design and/or technology development services. Or, any equivalent combination of experience or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.

Working Environment
The Learning Engineering Institute is housed on the Tempe Campus of ASU near downtown Tempe. Arizona State University is located in the Phoenix/Scottsdale metropolitan area and offers all of the amenities of a large urban/winter resort area.
Activities are primarily performed in a regular, climate-controlled office setting subject to extended periods of sitting or standing. Daily use of a desktop or laptop computer is required. Ability to clearly communicate to perform essential duties. Regular review of completed tasks.
