Job Summary

This position is responsible for the development and delivery of training and consultation related to course design especially in an online or blended environment.

Major Duties

  • Designs and delivers face-to-face and online training in online, blended and face-to-face instructional technology, design, and software tools.
  • Provides support to faculty, staff and administrators in the development and design of content-specific instruction learning modules, multimedia components, web resources, and instructional materials for both distance and on-campus learning.
  • Supports faculty, staff, administrators and students in the use of web conferencing, video conferencing, and online communication tools.
  • Develops content for training as related to Blackboard and other instructional technologies.
  • Resolves help calls related to instructional technologies, Blackboard, and teaching strategies.
  • Researches online and blended teaching and learning strategies and best practices.
  • Conducts needs assessments and peer reviews at the course and program level.
  • Vetting web 4.0 tools and other instructional technologies.
  • Performs related duties as assigned.

Knowledge Required By The Position

  • Knowledge of teaching and learning principles, best practices, and current developments in pedagogy/andragogy and web design in higher education.
  • Knowledge of online and distance learning best practices.
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs, particularly MS Office, web 4.0 and electronic communication techniques.
  • Skill in using multimedia equipment and software.
  • Skill in decision making and problem solving.
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
  • Skill in oral and written communication.
  • Some travel between campuses required.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
  • Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
  • Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.

Annual salary $52,248.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.

Projected hire date January 1, 2025
