The opportunity

As an Instructional Designer, you will work across multiple programs and disciplines. You’ll work with subject matter experts and cross-departmental partners in the design, development, and on-time delivery of high-quality learning experiences. You will participate in decisions related to learning design, ensuring that experiences meet the specifications of the degree program and follow institutional expectations for rigor, quality, scalability, and the success needs of our students, faculty, and student support staff.

What you’ll do:

  • Design high-quality, technically complex, scalable online learning experiences in collaboration with academic partners and subject matter experts, managing the schedule and quality of each project and associated deliverables
  • Design high-quality and valid assessments to assess evidence of learning for both formative and summative performances
  • With your input, we will engage in ongoing quality reviews and participate in data-informed assessments of learning experiences to identify areas of improvement in instructional clarity, engagement, and learning pathways
  • Independently manage multiple project timelines and available resources while driving towards ongoing process efficiencies in instructional design efforts
  • Apply instructional design skills, relevant learning theories, and knowledge of learning technologies and environments to the design of high-quality learning experiences across varied delivery modalities
  • Adhere to our standards for learning experience build specifications within the LMS and experimenting with new standards and building in collaboration with LMS experts

What we’re looking for:

  • Master’s degree
  • 2+ years of experience in online instructional design or teaching and learning

Compensation

The annual pay range for this position is $50,105.00 – $80,184.00. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations. We expect this position to be hired in the following target hiring range $55,366.00 – $74,908.00.
