Job Summary
The Division of Continuing Education (CE) at the University of Colorado Boulder welcomes applications for an Instructional Designer (ID). This is a full-time (100% appointment) position reporting to the Manager of the Learning Design Group (LDG). As a vital member of the LDG team, the ID collaborates with team members, faculty, and subject matter experts in the design and development of accessible and engaging learning experiences that support diverse learners using the current Learning Management System (LMS) and other relevant educational technologies. The ID also provides ongoing technical support and training to faculty, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality online courses that align with the University’s educational objectives and enhance student success.
This position plays a crucial role in providing andragogical and practical assistance to faculty during course development. Additionally, the ID guides faculty members in adopting effective strategies for teaching in online environments. Responsibilities for conducting courses are coordinated through specific academic programs within Continuing Education and/or the Main campus.

While this position is available for remote work, it does require occasional on-campus attendance for in-person meetings and events. You must be willing and able to commute to Boulder, CO for these occasions.
What We Can Offer
The starting salary range for this position is $56,000-$63,000.
