Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and talented Sr. Instructional Designer to join our HR Learning & Development team. Your primary focus will be leveraging content authoring tools to design and develop interactive and impactful learning experiences. Collaborating closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and other Learning & Development (L&D) specialists, you will translate complex concepts into engaging learning materials that meet the needs of our learners and the objectives of our organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning Design and Development: Design and develop high-quality learning experiences based on adult-learning theory and appropriate learning modalities. Create interactive e-learning modules, simulations, videos, and other multimedia assets to enhance learner engagement and retention.
  • Content Creation: Write, edit, and curate content for various learning formats, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and alignment with learning objectives. Develop assessments, quizzes, and other evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes.
  • Collaboration with SMEs: Partner closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to gather content, validate learning materials, and ensure technical accuracy. Lead consultation activities with SMEs to determine key learning content and learning objectives. Translate business goals and performance gaps into actionable learning solutions that address learner needs and drive organizational success.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other L&D specialists, including other instructional designers, multimedia developers, and learning technologists, to leverage their expertise and resources. Engage in cross-functional projects to share best practices and drive continuous improvement.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instructional Design (or related field) or equivalent related experience.
  • Proven experience in instructional design, learning design, and content development, preferably in a corporate or organizational setting. Experience with technical subjects is desirable.
  • Advanced proficiency in using content authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, Camtasia, Microsoft Products, as well as multimedia editing software.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to effectively partner with multiple SMEs and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to independently manage small to moderately sized training and development projects.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and SCORM Requirements.
  • Knowledge of emerging trends in learning technologies.
