Spring 2025 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC.  Expected program dates are January 21 – April 25, 2025.

Introduction: 

The Instructional Design Intern must have a working knowledge of the various web-based eLearning technologies and instructional design methodologies.  The Intern will apply these technologies and methodologies to create and deliver product solution materials and training for a team of global sellers and business partners.  The Intern will learn and aid with the development of interactive, engaging web-based course components for new and revision courses of the ELERA microservice platform.  The Intern will play a crucial role in developing and delivering cutting-edge learning materials that equip our customers and business partners with the expertise they need to adopt and excel in time to value of the ELERA microservice platform.  Most of all, the Intern will expand their expertise and advance their future career in a supportive and innovative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and collaborate with subject matter experts to identify target audience’s training needs.
  • Develop measurable objectives and ensure content aligns with business goals while ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Apply learning design principles and practice by creating instructional materials: Curriculum, courses, tutorials, workshops, and webinars.
  • Use modern authoring tools to build, deploy, and update courses and supporting materials in the appropriate formats (instructor-led, video, e-Learning, hands-on lab, interactivity, and assessments)
  • Create engaging material/media using a variety of instructional strategies to support learning (audio, video, simulations, role plays, scenario-based, micro learnings, games etc.)
  • Experience the full life cycle of enablement content development, from design to development and evaluation.
  • Revise and rewrite content to shape it for learning needs.

Required Skills:

  • Currently pursuing Instructional Design or Education Design major in Undergraduate or Postgraduate studies
  • Working knowledge of eLearning content authoring tools such as Articulate 360 suite, Adobe Captivate, Camtasia
  • Enjoys building cross-functional relationships and working with others in a collaborative, social environment.
  • Ability to handle accelerating changes in pursuit of more innovative solutions.
  • Effective verbal and written communication; able to read, write, and speak English proficiently.

Preferred Skills: 

  • Proficient multimedia development skills such as graphics development and manipulation, template development, user interface design via Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator.
  • Ability to communicate with people of various technical and business backgrounds, including the ability to explain difficult technical concepts in simple terms to business users.
