Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Training, our eLearning Training Specialist will be responsible for the digital execution of the annual review and organizational training processes.

In this role you will manage the coordination, support and efficient execution of our digital annual review and training platform. Working alongside the Training Administrator and HR Coordinator, you will ensure that there are robust and relevant trainings in our LMS system and that career paths are developed and accessible for staff. Through your efforts, you will be responsible for leading and initiating the training and annual review process, managing the annual review process, and ensuring all guidelines and timelines are met.

This role requires someone who can effectively prioritize and create viable solutions to address the skill gaps of staff. You will need to have excellent time/project management, the ability to use discretion with sensitive and confidential information, while having a keen eye for process improvements with our training and digital administration.

Core Responsibilities: 

  • First point of contact for the day-to-day set up, content relevancy and operations of the LMS and Cornerstone platforms, ensuring there is data accuracy and system integrity.
  • Proactively work with both the HR and training team to develop, update and distribute detailed training schedules to staff.
  • Ensure our new hire onboarding compliance training is managed efficiently and customized for all new hires.
  • Work with the HR and training teams to ensure we accommodate any learning deficient staff may have. Be able to provide training so that everyone can operate the LMS and Cornerstone system.
  • Based on the customized needs of our staff, you will work across the training and HR team to coordinate instructor-led, web-based, virtual, onsite and/or hybrid training sessions.
  • Create, schedule, and administer enrollments for learning events in the Learning Management System.
  • Ensure our digital systems and eLearning platforms are accessible, user friendly and meet the training and career path needs of our diverse staff.
  • Generate calendar invites, reminders, and other communications to ensure staff are adequately informed of available training opportunities.
  • Collaborate, partner across departments (e.g., HR, IT,) to ensure training rooms, virtual platforms, and other resources are arranged, equipped, and ready for each session.
  • Ensure the LMS, merit increase calibration, and annual review content is relevant, and aligns with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate records of training activities, participant attendance, and feedback for evaluation purposes.
  • Actively work with LMS and Cornerstone vendor to resolve and troubleshoot all technical issues, as they arise.
  • Be able to evaluate system functionality and support and/or lead efforts for future system implementation.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • At least 3 years of applicable experience in instructional design, learning styles and content management.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, LMS and digital platforms for annual review processes (systems such as ADP, Cornerstone, Bamboo HR, Trakstar, etc.)
  • Must be able to use discretion and manage sensitive and confidential information.
  • Familiarity and experience with LMS administration, and other digitals platforms.
  • Ability to write, present, and communicate effectively among a diverse audience.
  • Ability to effectively create training materials, flyers, programs or digital guidelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively project manage deadlines and juggle competing priorities.
  • Experience with creating assessment and/or in reporting and metrics capabilities for training evaluation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment.
  • Strong computer skills (ie: MS Office Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

$67,000 – $75,000 a year

COVID Policy

All staff are required to be fully vaccinated (barring application for medical or religious exemptions). Wearing masks in the office is optional for our staff.

This role will be covered by the collective bargaining agreement.
