Job Summary/Basic Functions

The Online Learning Specialist will work in conjunction with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services (CHFS) in the development of multimedia presentations, online learning strategies, and computer-assisted learning techniques for training staff.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Certification or graduation from a four (4) year college or university. Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Videography or other related field preferred.

Experience: Two years of related experience required. Desirable proficiencies in Graphic Design, Photoshop, Captivate, Articulate Storyline, Windows operating systems, and Microsoft Office. Audio/Video Production, Audio/Video Editing Software (Premier Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.).

Job Duties:

  • 50% – Develops Web-based training (WBT) – (Essential)
  • 30% – Provides technical assistance and supports their efforts to develop advanced and cost-effective training methodologies through the use of e-learning technologies. – (Essential)
  • 15% – Performs administrative functions and other duties to ensure the effective operation of the center and its projects. – (Essential)
  • 5% – Other duties as assigned. – (Essential)

The funding for this position is from federal and/or state funds and is subject to annual renewal. This is a contract EKU position.
