Job Description

The Remote Curriculum Coordinator that is Title 1 funded, plans and coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 3-12 as well as generally oversees the development, implementation and assessment of teacher developed customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades.

This position offers a base salary of around $53,000

This is a full-time Remote position. Ability to work independently, typically 40+ hours per week is required. Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during workday, typically 8am-5pm central time.

  • Coordinates the development of curriculum objectives for grades 3-12; Monitors the implementation and evaluation of these objectives;
  • Plans and oversees teacher development and implementation of customized lessons, activities, assessments and tools for these grades including special populations; Evaluates effectiveness of the material;
  • Coordinates the process for selection of textbooks, equipment and instructional supplies for curriculum;
  • Mentors/acts as a resource to teachers by providing expertise and ongoing support; Conducts curriculum meetings as required;
  • Helps manage/advise on the curriculum budget;
  • Attends curriculum and other professional conferences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree OR
  • Three (3) year of teaching experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time.
  • Ability to clear required background check.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of state standards
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook
  • Organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills 
  • Experience developing curriculum and assessment
  • Project management experience
  • Experience teaching or leading in an online setting
