Job Summary:

The State of Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS), contracts with the Kempe Center for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect, to serve as the Central Management Organization (CMO) for Colorado’s Child Welfare Training System (CWTS).

The mission of the CWTS is to provide competency-based learning opportunities for Colorado’s children, youth, and family-serving personnel – by designing, developing, and delivering educational opportunities, through a county (small, medium, and large) structure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assumes ownership for county success, including establishing, building, and maintaining customer relationships across levels and professional disciplines.
  • Ensures project representation and responsiveness in a manner that anticipates customer needs and cultivates county relationships.
  • Facilitates on-site learning delivery, coaching, and technical assistance for the region.
  • Recruits contracted facilitators within the region.
  • Collaborates with the other county learning coordinators.
  • Facilitates County Connection Meetings (CCM) and ensures the needs of the counties are known and communicated with project leadership.
  • Coordinates all training to meet county (small, medium, and large) needs including ensuring comprehensive and timely communication and support with training partners, providers, and participants.
  • Markets courses and maintains CWTS communications within the assigned counties.
  • Facilitates training evaluation tools and ensures data are effectively and accurately delivered and used as a resource to measure performance and enhance results.
  • Collaborates with the course design and development teams to ensure the most up-to-date and relevant content is delivered, in the most accessible and usable ways.
  • Conducts annual appreciative listening tours and appreciative visits with each assigned county.
  • Conducts CQI review on all project and course materials as needed and communicates recommended changes with project leadership.
  • Generates and communicates ideas and innovations, and suggests topics for future design, delivery, and development.
  • Provides coaching support with county customers to ensure the transfer of learning from the classroom to on-the-job skills and field practices.
  • Fundamentals facilitation ownership and coordination processes, including training coordination, registration and wait-list management, materials preparation, and learner relationship establishment.
  • Responsible for authoring and overseeing ongoing development and CQI adaptations for Fundamentals courses, to ensure alignment with current best practices, and most innovative liberating learning methods.
  • Autonomously manages other project products and deliverables as assigned.

Work Location:

Remote – this role is eligible to work remotely, but the employee must be in the United States.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Education, Behavioral Science, Social Science, or another related field.
  • 2 years’ experience in direct child welfare practice. *
  • 2 years’ experience as a training facilitator. *
  • Experience may be obtained simultaneously.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Education, Behavioral Science, Social Science, or another related field.
  • 2-4 experience providing coaching services.
  • Professional Coaches Training Certification.

Condition of Employment:

Due to travel between locations being both frequent and not easily accessible by public transportation, a valid driver’s license, automobile insurance, and a reliable automobile are required.

Anticipated Pay Range:

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $57,052 to $72,570.
