Contract Learning Strategist

The Learning Strategist works closely with stakeholders to identify learning needs and design learning solutions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable speaking with clients at all levels and functions and has prior experience working with large corporate accounts. The Learning Strategist possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence and the ability to listen to a client’s issues, ask strategic questions then prescribe potential solutions in a coherent plan.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Learning Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough assessments to identify organizational learning needs, skills gaps, and performance improvement opportunities 
  • Learning Strategy Development: Collaborate with key stakeholders to define the learning strategy, goals, and objectives aligned with the organization’s vision and objectives 
  • Learning Program Design: Develop innovative and engaging learning programs, including e-learning modules, webinars, observational tools, and other learning interventions, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and technologies. Oversee alignment of solutions with Neurolearning principles as applicable
  • Create a Blueprint Solution Deck and accompanying Curriculum Map, if applicable.
  • Mitigate internal and client project issues proactively and manage escalated issues with solutions- based approach
  • Coordinate and/or collaborate with LXD and PM Lead to resolve identified scope creep (eg, identify opportunities to bring efforts within budget)

  • Ability to think outside of the box and ideate real time while balancing the client priorities whether they be cost, timeline, effectiveness or compliance etc. 

Qualifications:

  • 4-6+ years of client-facing consulting experience with Fortune 500 companies 
  • 4-6+ years of LXD/ID experience
  • Fundamental understanding in the various learning design methodologies including Action Mapping, AGILE, SAM and ADDIE 
  • Experience working with graphic designers, e-learning developers, and/or web designers 
  • Experience using digital learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise and Adobe Captivate 
  • Experience with Design Thinking and UX methods is a plus 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess learning needs, evaluate learning effectiveness, and make data-driven recommendations
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to build strong relationships, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and influence key stakeholders

Hours per week & Rate: 

  • Range is 10-20 hours per week (need availability of up to 20/week for critical project milestones)
  • $75/hr
