Job Description 

Location: All Locations in the United States

Work Arrangement: Remote, In-office or Hybrid 

The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) is a strategic thought leader responsible for developing and executing a high-impact learning and development strategy that aligns with the firm’s strategic business priorities, and engages employees in their growth and development across all levels of the firm. 

A Day in the Life 

  • Develops and implements a holistic learning strategy that addresses current and future workforce needs, including identifying critical skills gaps and aligning learning initiatives with business objectives.
  • Conducts thorough needs assessments to understand employee development requirements across the organization, collaborating with cross-functional teams including HR, operations, and business leaders.
  • Designs, develops, and delivers engaging learning programs utilizing a variety of modalities including online courses, in-person training, blended learning, and micro-learning experiences.
  • Oversees the development and execution of leadership development programs, including succession planning initiatives, to cultivate high-potential talent within the organization.
  • Fosters a culture of continuous learning by promoting employee self-directed learning, knowledge sharing, and internal mentorship programs.
  • Evaluates and implements learning management systems (LMS) and other learning technologies to facilitate effective delivery and tracking of training programs.
  • Establishes metrics to measure the effectiveness of learning programs, track learner progress, and make data-driven improvements to training initiatives.
  • Creates and manages the Learning & Development department’s functional plan and budget as well as the Firmwide CPE budget and hours, ensuring efficient allocation of resources across different training programs.
  • Monitors adherence with implemented Firm policies and procedures providing solutions to areas of concern.
  • Stays abreast of emerging learning technologies, public accounting and advisory consulting industry best practices, and market trends to continuously evolve the firm’s learning strategy.
  • Develops and mentors the Learning & Development team, with a focus on cultivating strong collaboration and teamwork.
  • Oversees the entire learning and development function as it relates to mergers and acquisitions.
  • Participates and represents the Firm in the community and industry organizations relating to the learning and development function.
  • Maintains communication and relationships with vendors as necessary.
  • Ensures timely and accurate performance on assigned projects.
  • Maintains compliance with project budgets, turnaround times, and deadlines.

Who You Are 

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • You have 10-15 years of previous experience in learning and development, organizational development, or a related field, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Prior experience in a Professional Services firm highly preferred.
  • You can build and articulate a Learning & Development vision and translate it into an executable strategy, leading with data and insights.
  • You have experience managing and leading a geographically dispersed team.
  • You have strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and talent management.
  • You have knowledge of advanced learning technologies and tools (e.g, LMS, e-learning platforms, AI/Gen AI)
  • You have experience working with and influencing leadership across the U.S. and India. Sensitivity to cultural nuances and the ability to design relevant global programs.
  • You have strong program and project management and facilitation skills to deliver impactful learning experiences.

Compensation

$200,000-$270,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
