The Opportunity:

The Civil, Environmental and Construction Engineering (CECE) Department at CECS at UCF is searching for an Academic Program Coordinator III to support the operation, management, development, and assessment of the curricula, accreditation, career connections, and recruitment/outreach across the three CECE undergraduate degree programs, the accelerated BS-MS degree options, and the non-thesis MS degree options. The Academic Program Coordinator III will work together with the department Associate Chair and Chair on the quality and effectiveness of the degree programs. The successful candidate will also grow connectivity between different entities on campus that support learning and potential employers.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, administers, or supports programs that enhance the learning environment for students or faculty development.
  • Provides services and support for operations of academic programs.
  • Collects, manages, processes, and interprets data related to course and program assessment relative to needs of different operational effectiveness and accreditation body needs.
  • Interacts with students and employers to support student internships and employment.
  • Interprets and disseminates departmental, college, and university policies and directives in meeting with students, staff, and faculty.
  • Coordinates external review sessions hosted by the department.
  • Develops new marketing strategies and tools as appropriate to support.
  • Coordinates external review sessions hosted by the department.
  • Coordinates curriculum or program changes, course action requests, and catalog revisions.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master of Science (MS) degree.
  • 4+ years of experience within a higher education institution department.
  • Experience in academic advising, academic program administration, or academic program coordination.
  • Ability to work independently with demonstrated mechanisms for quality control/quality assurance.
