Job Description

Cricut is immediately seeking a multimedia-savvy content creator to create hands-on how-to guides to improve and update our customer care website with additional media content to showcase, simplify and modernize the way our customers can find support.  

This role is a department-of-one position that requires proven ability in developing, setting up, starring in, filming, editing, and publishing media files compatible with all kinds of social media channels, our help center website, YouTube, and other media platforms.  

The person in this role will also be responsible for creating internal training media for our domestic and international member care teams, and may be asked to assist in other media-related ways in the company.  

Individuals with proven experience in creating, starring in, and publishing “how to” content like this, including all the relevant tasks such as editing, post-production, etc. Will be considered. We are looking for a scrappy, hungry creator who wants to take on this brand new role helping us help our Cricut members be more successful in making the lives of those around them a little brighter.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and manage content for internal and external knowledge bases and learning systems. 
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure accurate and relevant information. 
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to guarantee timely project completion. 
  • Contribute to the creation of interactive content and e-learning courses. 
  • Streamline existing content to enhance its quality and overall effectiveness. 
  • Manage and store media assets for easy recall, reuse, or modification by internal teams. 
  • Work In Office 5 days/week (Monday-Friday)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

  • Proven experience in creating educational content, e-learning modules, or instructional materials. 
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning software. 
  • Strong background in content optimization to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Knowledge of content customization techniques. 
  • Prior experience with generating high-quality video content in front of and behind the camera. 
  • Excellent, professional English diction and communication skills (both verbal and written) 
  • Video editing, content creation, social media management 
  • E-learning development and/or instructional design 
  • Project management 
  • Self-starter with the ability to work as an effective department-of-one to architect, design, create, edit & publish media for all types of needs

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Speaks professional/technical Spanish. French may also be considered 
  • Training and instructional design experience 
  • Strong storyboarding storytelling ability to engage and retain viewers through video media formats 
  • Experience in a contact center/call-center or other customer-facing help-service role is strongly preferred 
  • Experience with Cricut machines and/or a DIY/Maker/Creator is strongly preferred 
  • Ability to liaise effectively with member care leaders and engage with relevant data streams to prioritize, select and execute

Job Parameters: 

  • Location: South Jordan, Utah, United States of America 
  • Work Arrangement: IN OFFICE this role is an in-office role; we would like this person to plan to work in office Monday – Friday, each week. 
  • Relocation is not ideal for this role, but will be considered for especially qualified candidates who meet the criteria significantly better than others, and who are already living in the United States.  
  • Sponsorship: We will consider sponsorship for especially qualified candidates who meet the criteria significantly better than all others 
  • Experience Required: 1-2 years of verifiable, proven participation in professional-quality video media content creation & training material  
  • Education Required: Degree not required, but preferred education or certificated in video, film, storytelling, training, etc., will be taken into consideration.
